AER Journal: Research and Practice in Visual Impairment and Blindness is AER’s newest member
benefit, providing information on excellent research that can be applied in a practical setting. The journal also features best practice examples that contain enough detail to be implemented by other practitioners. The journal reports on informative and helpful practices, research findings, professional experiences, experiments, and controversial issues. Institutions can purchase AER Journal from Allen Press.

Authors may submit articles online. Please click here to access the home page of the AER Journal online service, www.editorialmanager.com/aerjournal. For manuscript submission guidelines and editorial policy, please refer to the Resource documents available on the AER Journal home page, or you may access the manuscript submission guidelines here.

Potential peer reviewers may visit www.editorialmanager.com/aerjournal and select Peer Reviewer Guidelines from the Resources section on the AER Journal home page for detailed information. If you wish to become a reviewer, please register with the AER Journal site so that your request may be considered. Be prepared to include your degrees and areas of expertise in the Personal Classifications section. Peer reviewers of research articles should have substantial (minimum five years) experience in research in the field of visual impairment and blindness; Ph.D. or Ph.D. candidate. Peer reviewers of all other articles should have substantial (minimum five years) experience in the field of visual impairment and blindness; M.A., M.Sc., M.Ed., or equivalent. Also, potential reviewers should submit a resume to eic@aerbvi.org.

Editor-in-Chief
Deborah Gold, Ph.D., is Associate Director of Research at the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) and Adjunct Professor for the University of Ottawa, Department of Ophthalmology. From 2000 to the present, she has been responsible for the development of training, research and information projects related to people with vision loss.

Associate Editors
Adele Crudden, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Social Work Program Director at Mississippi State University where she has been a researcher at the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Blindness and Low Vision since 1994. Employed in the disability field since 1980, her work includes both public and private sector rehabilitation experience.

Amy R. McKenzie, Ed.D., is an assistant professor in the Program in Visual Impairments at Florida State University. She currently works with undergraduate and graduate students in the personnel preparation area of Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments. She is an active member of the AER Personnel Preparation Division and University Review Committee.

Rona Pogrund, Ph.D. is Associate Professor in the Special Education Program and Coordinator of the Program for Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments at Texas Tech University. She is based at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Austin. She has been a teacher and orientation and mobility specialist of students of all ages who are blind and visually impaired.

Subscriptions
Individual subscriptions are available at no charge only to members. Institutions may subscribe to the AER Journal for $109 (USD) per year in the U.S., $135 for institutions outside the U.S., including Canada and Mexico. Visit the

Claims for copies lost in the mail must be received within 90 days (180 days foreign) of the issue date to insure replacement at no charge. Information on availability and cost of back issues can be obtained from aerj@allenpress.com
