JoAnne Chalom

JoAnne Chalom currently serves as a member-at-large of the AER Orientation and Mobility Professional Division and has held leadership roles as Chair-Elect (2018–2020), Chair (2020–2022), and Past Chair (2022–2024). She completed the Vision Impairment and Blindness program in Orientation and Mobility program at the University of Pittsburgh in 2009. JoAnne resides in South Florida, where she provides consultative and direct services to adults with visual impairments. She has presented to international audiences across a variety of professional disciplines and advocates for accessible and inclusive environments through her service on the AER O&M Professional Division’s Environmental Access Committee (EAC). Outside of her professional work, she enjoys traveling and capturing her experiences through photography.
